The D8000 is great. Bezel surrounding the tv is nearly invisible. Best feature by far is it's ability to up convert 2d to 3d. Even associate was impressed in its improved abilities over last years model. 3d gaming is amazing. Lots of options within the settings menu to adjust the tv exactly to your liking. It took my old games and gave them a whole new life. Power cable seems a bit short if you plan on wall mounting. Lastly I see a lot of potential for the apps but it still limited in it's offerings.

Samsung UN55D8000 Review 2

I purchased the Samsung 55 inch 8000 model LED when my Philips Plasma died after about 8 years of sporadic use. I have had the samsung for a couple of weeks now and I could not be any happier with the purchase. The picture quality of this led is outstanding and the 3D is fantastic as well. The speakers are average but if you plan on hooking it up to a surround sound system, then speaker quality should not be an issue. My only complaint so far is that the power cord is about three or four feet long. Other than that, I am happy so far. I will post back later if the worm turns.

The colors and dark levels are wonderful. The 3D effects are so cool and yes this is my first 3D TV, I have seen 3D in movie theaters but its so much better being at home. The added applications are cool and the added NAS support is wonderful. I have a Synology NAS and once I plugged it in to the network the TV detected my NAS and listed it as Synology.
